About Slides.  Slides are made from ‘positive’ reversal film that has the same brightness and colors as the original scene (not inverted like ‘negative’ film).  The size, type, and length of the film determine the number of slide images it will hold.  After the film is developed, it is cut into individual images and mounted into cardboard or plastic slide mounts.  Vintage slides can be mounted in metal and glass slide mounts and can be very thick.  Color film and slides were introduced about 1907 (Autochrome) and 1916 (AGFA), but color was not in widespread use until the release of Kodak Kodachrome film in 1935.

Our process
We use direct to digital slide scanning equipment with integrated LED lighting for consistent color control.  After scanning, basic brightness and orientation of each image is reviewed and corrected as needed.

Thank you for making my 35mm SLIDE SHOW DVDs so easy to use. I love the way they fade in and off the screen. I have been so anxious for my brother and his wife to see them. Thank you for all the kindness you have extended to me,

Thank you so much for the time and effort you have put into helping us with these [35mm] slides. The DVD is wonderful. Mom is beside herself with satisfaction, she was impressed with every aspect of your work including the professional DVD labeling. I was astonished at the Hi-Resolution pictures. [This is] a chance to focus on something other than the pain [of her illness]. I am so grateful to be sharing this with her. A very personal thank you,

Jay
